WHO ARE WE

We are a UK-based charity that appreciates that education is key to any thriving country. Through The Education Movement (TheEduMove) we want to champion the advancement of education and the general well-being of students in some of the world’s most vulnerable countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Every child deserves the opportunity to access free, quality education in a safe environment. TheEduMove has been set up to achieve exactly that.

Our mission is to fund schools and provide children with a nurturing learning experience. We want to do this by:-

Revamping, rebuilding, and extending education and community facilities to an acceptable international standard.
Budgets for maintenance for these facilities.
Training and mental health support for educators, coaches, and administrators.
Support in the health of hygiene standards in these facilities. The charity’s main activities will include fundraising, advocacy, education, and the progression of our objectives.

The TRUSTEES

BANEEN

Baneen has worked in education for the past 7 years, in the UK and Iraq. Some of her clients include local governments supporting with projects on capacity building and spearheading public policy. She has also provided government officials clear and focused strategy on social and political issues such as “developing the Arabic language” and the “implementation of disciplinary schools in the region”.

She is also an entrepreneur, starting her own digital marketing business with a track record in developing small business via identifying and implementing operationally excellent marketing strategies.

In 2019 she received her Master’s in Teaching Mathematics and taught in the UK at different schools working with multi social economic backgrounds students.

Her passions are in the foundations and advancement of education especially in third-world and war-torn countries.

Katral-Nada

Katral-Nada an Iraqi-Canadian, is an entrepreneur and managing director of The Experience Agency, a boutique consultancy that helps clients leverage digital technologies that provide value to businesses. She has more than 15 years of experience developing user experiences on all digital platforms.

Katral-Nada has a strong passion for her native country Iraq and an avid supporter of rebuilding the foundations of education and technology in Iraq. Nada has been involved in many philanthropic initiatives and educational initiatives such as TEDxBaghdad and Startup Weekend.

Katral-Nada received her master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Hult International Business School and bachelor’s degree in commerce, with a specialization in international business and management information systems from the University of Ottawa, Canada.

SIDDika

Siddika studied economics at City University of London sparking her devotion to charity, armed with this knowledge she hoped to improve the economic and social issues for the defenceless.

Siddika has committed over decade of her career to the human rights movement and charity. Her main focus is to ensure that the rights of religious minorities and the vulnerable, globally, and are protected through a working relationship with the United Nations Human Rights Council.

She has always been devoted to helping people for example during the refugee crisis she worked with various organisations to provide relief, support and care to those who needed support.

Siddika is now embarking on a new journey to start a new charity to improve educational facilities in Iraq for students, teachers and coaches alike.
